The Moneycontrol India Web 3.0 Summit 2025 convened government leaders, technology pioneers, and industry experts to discuss how India can lead the global Web 3.0 revolution. The sessions explored themes spanning governance, digital infrastructure, fintech innovation, and cybersecurity, offering a holistic view of India’s emerging digital economy.


The event opened with a welcome note by Nalin Mehta, setting the stage for an evening focused on innovation and governance in the Web3 era.


In the first session, Kaustubh Dhavse, Chief Advisor to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, and Vishesh Sarangal, Special Secretary, Government of Punjab, discussed “The Future of Web3 in Indian Governance”, moderated by Mehta, highlighting blockchain’s role in enhancing transparency and citizen engagement.


Ashish Shelar, Maharashtra’s IT and Cultural Affairs Minister, shared insights on “Tech, Policy & Maharashtra’s Digital Growth Vision”, outlining the state’s roadmap for fostering a future-ready innovation ecosystem.


A panel featuring Vinod Rohira (K Raheja Corp), Reshmi Panicker (Knight Frank), Samujjwal Ghosh (The House of Abhinandan Lodha), and Niranjan Hiranandani (NAREDCO) delved into “Web 3.0 and Land Tokenization in India”, emphasizing how blockchain can revolutionize real estate transparency and ownership models.


Union Minister Dr. L. Murugan then shared his perspective on “India’s Digital Future in the Web 3.0 Era”, stressing the government’s vision for inclusive digital growth.


Saurabh Garg, Secretary at the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, spoke on “Tech and Data-Driven Governance”, moderated by Shweta Punj, exploring how data analytics and AI can strengthen governance frameworks.


In the session on “The Future of Digital Currency & Emerging Technologies in India”, Ajay Rajan (YES BANK), Tirtha Chatterjee (BCG), Divyansh Nasa (EY), and Ashish Singhal (IBDIC) discussed India’s evolving fintech infrastructure, moderated by Latha Venkatesh.


The discussion on “Building the Web3 Stack”, led by Sumit Gupta (CoinDCX), Beatriz Callaghan (Canton), Edul Patel (Mudrex), SB Sekar (Binance), Rachel Conlan (Binance), and Nitish Mittersain (Nazara Technologies), moderated by Arvind Gupta, focused on the frameworks needed to scale India’s Web3 ecosystem.


Rahul Narwekar, Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, explored “Digital Governance & Web 3.0: Opportunities and Challenges”, emphasizing the need for regulatory clarity and digital inclusion.


The final discussion, “Cyber Resilience, Digital Trust, and Security in the Web 3.0 Era”, saw Rajesh Pant, Chairman of the Cyber Security Association of India, and moderator Shweta Punj address cybersecurity and digital trust in a decentralized ecosystem.


The summit concluded with a networking dinner, offering an opportunity for collaboration among policymakers, entrepreneurs, and innovators driving India’s Web3 transformation.
