The Digital India Foundation, in collaboration with Project Sutra (Shared Unified Trust Registry Architecture), convened a closed-door roundtable in New Delhi to discuss the future of interoperable and trustworthy registry systems.

The discussion was moderated by Dr. Arvind Gupta, Head and Co-founder of the Digital India Foundation, and brought together senior policymakers, technology experts, and industry practitioners. Participants examined how blockchain and digital public infrastructure can transform registries across critical domains including land records, health data, MSME information, and academic credentials.

Key themes included the potential of INR-backed stablecoins for cross-border payments, the design of digital credit rails, and the regulatory considerations involved in linking registries to financial and trade ecosystems. Participants also explored pathways for pilot projects and collaborations within India’s growing digital ecosystem.

The dialogue underscored a shared commitment to developing registry frameworks that are interoperable, verifiable, and globally aligned, while ensuring strong governance and accountability.

These conversations are helping shape the next phase of India’s digital transformation;  one grounded in trust, interoperability, and inclusive innovation.
